Model Release Forms
So I'm working on building my photography portfolio.
I'm pleased to report that everyone I've asked (*begged*) has been more than happy to become my (*victims*) subjects as I'm practicing my skills (*sharpening my claws*).
And I realized over the weekend that I probably am going to need photo releases if I want to share my progress on my blog. After all, I want to protect the rights of the images I'm taking and I also want to make sure the rights of my subjects (*victims*) are also protected.
The Moother's Day cow who so generously posed for me with her baby was exempt from signing a release. She didn't have a pen.
So I googled Model Release Forms and Photo Release forms and found out what I needed to make my own. Basically, you need two types. Type A for Adults and Type B for Minors
There was several different ways to rearrange the wording, but basically the photog needs her/his name and/or the name of photog studio, name of subject, date, and what type of permission you are requesting and a signature. In this case, I need electronic permission to post their photos here or elsewhere on the internet.
Good to know!
I'm off to finalize the wording on my own Photo Release Forms.
