Blown Away

Our tree was a casualty of yesterday's crazy storms. It really tried to stay in the ground! But it was partially uprooted & it doesn't look like it can be saved. This morning, I discovered the tree next to it is starting to lean also. The winds didn't get it, but the ground saturation is.

Thankfully, all the children were in the basement during the storms and no one was hurt when the big tree in front of the school went down.

Just a little ways down the street from my house were downed wires and many large trees. We were fortunate to have power.

The park lost a lot of large trees.

Nick couldn't resist climbing on the downed trees.

Our neighborhood had a lot of damage and ours was very minimal. Next door, a tree fell on our neighbor's pop-up camper and broke a window on their house and another neighbor had a tree go through her roof. I feel blessed and fortunate that all my family and friends were safe.
